What do I need to pull one of your campers?
Well besides previous towing experience, a current drivers license and insurance, you must be 25 years of age or older. If you are towing then you must be present at the time of pick up with a valid id and credit card matching the name used to pay for the rental.
You will need a vehicle with the ability to pull 2000 lbs with a proper trailer hitch attached, a 2” Ball and a four-pin connector for the lights. The hitch height varies for each camper so be sure to confirm your needs before pick up. Please allow for plenty of time to review towing procedures and also complete a walk through of the camper to explain and verify the condition of everything. We can also deliver the trailer.
Is there insurance on the campers?
You must contact your insurance company and advise them you will be pulling a small single axle travel trailer prior to renting (under 2000 lbs.) and request an insurance binder that will extend your full coverage vehicle insurance while you're renting the camper. Only persons with drivers license numbers listed on the rental agreement may tow the trailer or drive vehicles. You will be required to carry insurance in the case of property damage while towing/driving. Renters and any authorized drivers will be responsible for all damage or loss caused while renting the RV and agree to provide collision, liability, under/un-insured and comprehensive insurance coverage. If there is an accident please contact the authorities, your insurance, and then us in that order.
What advice can you give when pulling the campers?
There are many road precautions in pulling any trailer, but most are common sense.
Take it slow and easy, follow the street signs, and be really aware.
Take wide turns, remember you’re pulling a trailer and watch out for posts (especially at gas stations where they tend to jump at you!)
Give yourself extra room for breaking!!! This can't be stressed enough. These campers are LIGHT which means you can forget that they are there back there and slamming on your brakes with a camper isn't good. Traction features should be used in wet weather if your vehicle is so equipped.
Take it easy on big hills, especially with smaller vehicles. In some cases you may need to downshift and use a little more gas and always watch your temperature gage.
Avoid big bumps, the campers really bounce and twerk around and you don’t want things flying all over the place helter skelter inside. Try to pack most things in your vehicle and secure the things that are inside the camper.
Avoid parking where you have to back up if possible. Avoid backing up if possible.
Always check that your tail lights are working properly, your hitch is secured, and chains are correctly placed.
Never take on difficult washboard or unpaved roads. Keep the drive easy.
How do you back up properly?
Backing up a trailer can be difficult, but it does get easier with experience. The best practice I find is to never put yourself in a situation where you have to back it up. This means parking farther out in parking lots, taking up two spaces, and finding the easy spot in every situation. If you do find yourself in a backing up situation, simply remember that right is now left and left is now right (opposite of normal backing up). Also be sure to use your mirrors and if possible have someone get out of the tow vehicle and assist you. Always take it slow and never take chances. It generally takes several tries so be patient.
What is the maximum height clearance on the trailers?
Please allow for a minimum of 9’. The campers are about 8’+/- but you want to give some extra room. Always be careful. The trailers can sit quite higher than your vehicle; it’s always best to avoid anything that’s close to hitting the roof, this includes tree branches!

Besides being so cute and getting attention wherever they go, their lightweight aluminum construction is easy to handle since they were originally designed to be towed with a car and are less than 2000 lbs. They are small, set up is simple, and they offer a unique experience that nods to our nostalgia for the past and simpler times.
What if something breaks down?
Breakdowns or expenses that occur because of misuse, negligence, or abuse will not be reimbursed. Drive with extra caution and follow the speed limit and laws.
If a breakdown occurs that takes a complete day of your vacation to repair, we will deduct that day's charge from your rental fees.
If it is necessary to have repairs made during your trip, receipts and old parts must be returned for reimbursement. If repairs involve more than $100, you must have prior approval for repairs, before reimbursements will be made. Call us for assistance and approval.
Damages to tire and vehicle from tire damage are considered Road Hazard and are the responsibility of the renter. Tires are inspected prior to departure and on return. In the event of a tire problem, please contact a tire professional to have a replacement of the same size, type and brand installed. Damaged tires must be kept for inspections upon return.
Anything else I should know?
You will be responsible for any moving or parking violations and should report any accidents. You will be billed for any outstanding toll charges plus a $10 administrative fee.
